How do I use this program? -------------------------- The IDL Demo may be started by typing "demo" at the IDL prompt: IDL> demo The IDL demo may also be started by typing "idldemo" at the UNIX shell or VMS DCL prompt: $ idldemo or by double-clicking on the "IDL Demo" icon on the Macintosh or Windows platforms. Running the demo outside of IDL will bypass the license manager, avoiding time limitations. On VMS, you must install IDL in order to run the IDL demo; you cannot run it from the CD-ROM. What is this program? --------------------- This program serves as a demonstration of the capabilities and features of IDL, the Interactive Data Language. IDL is data analysis, visualization, and application development software developed by Research Systems, Inc. Where do I find example code? ----------------------------- Look in the RSI distribution under IDL50/examples/demo/. The RSI distribution can be renamed during installation.
